Amanda Hofacker
Yoga Instructor
Amanda is a sensitive and empathic teacher who utilizes intuition and her comfort with human emotions to create yoga sequences. Trained in classic power, with additional certifications in yin and trauma- informed yoga, her number one goal in teaching is to make her students feel emotionally and physically safe. The most important thing to her about sharing yoga is creating an atmosphere where people can comfortably explore their own healing and breath. She strives to make the room warm and inviting and enjoys using music, poetry, and affirmations to further deepen the experience of the practice. Amanda found her way to yoga as an alternative route to healing the anxiety and depression she lived with. Practicing yoga and mindfulness for over a decade has allowed her to feel more confident in finding her voice and in creating pockets of strength where there was once only fear. She is committed to lifelong personal inquiry and aspires to share what she has learned in this regard with her students. Amanda enjoys teaching energetic sequences that focus on connecting breath to movement while incorporating power movements that take individuals to their own edge. For slower and cooler yin- based classes, Amanda enjoys cultivating a space that allows for meditation and deeper contemplation. With all of her heart, she believes that yoga has the power to heal us from the inside out by offering community, connection, and hope.
